Alpha
The mission of our cycling team is to ELEVATE the sport of cycling, give back to the community, and promote our sponsors.
Since the team debuted in 2020, we have been active in the community with events such as “Coffee with Cops” and “Cycling Clothes for Cuba.” We are currently working on adopting stretches of road to help beautify our community as well as another cycling clothing drive and we host monthly women’s gravel and road rides in an effort to get more women on bikes. We strive to help the community and grow the sport as well as increase the respect for cycling and cyclists in our community.
2021 was a strong year for Alpha Cycling. In the Florida State Criterium, Time Trial, and Road Race Championships we won 8 State Titles! That makes Alpha Cycling the WINNINGEST cycling team in Florida! We also had racers competing at the gravel state championships, bringing home a gravel state title and an Alpha completed the Sea to Key 200 mile ride.
We also had an impressive Alpha Cycling Club with over 55 riders representing our sponsors on the road! We are really looking forward to growing even more in 2022! We have started the season off explosively with our strong women's squad competing at the Glades winter cycling series and winning the women’s overall as well as the 50+ category. We are also standing in 3rd place currently at the very competitive Miami crits series. Our women’s team is currently 12 racers strong!
